Frequently asked questions

When does Turf & Ardor launch?

The app launches on iOS in time for the Tournament 2026 kickoff on June 11, 2026. We're currently in private beta — sign up at turfandardor.com to get notified the moment we go live.

Is the app free?

Yes. The first version of Turf & Ardor is completely free. We'll add optional premium features (priority matching, daily Boosts, advanced filters) later in the year, but core matching and chat will always be free.

How does matching work?

You build a profile that includes the teams you support, your location, and your tournament plans (which host cities you'll visit, what dates you're traveling). We match you with fans whose preferences align with yours — like supporters who'll be in Mexico City the same week as you, or USMNT fans in your city.

How do I delete my account?

Inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, photos, and chat history within 30 days. Some account-level data (email hash, billing records) may be retained up to 90 days for fraud prevention.

If you can't access the app, email privacy@turfandardor.com with the email address on your account and we'll handle it.

How do I report a user?

From within any conversation or profile, tap the menu (•••) and select "Report user." Choose a reason (harassment, fake profile, inappropriate content, etc.) and add details if helpful.

For urgent safety concerns or to report someone outside the app, email safety@turfandardor.com immediately.

What is photo verification?

Verification confirms you're a real person. You take a quick selfie inside the app, we compare it to your profile photos, and award you a verification badge once approved. Other users can see this badge on your profile — it builds trust.

Your verification selfie is stored encrypted and is never shown to other users.

Why was my account suspended?

Accounts are suspended for violations of our Terms of Service: harassment, sexual content, spam, fake profiles, scams, or attempts to bypass safety features. If you believe your account was suspended in error, email support@turfandardor.com with the email address on your account.

What devices does the app support?

Turf & Ardor v1 launches on iOS only (iPhone and iPad). Android is on the roadmap for late 2026.

Why do I need to be 18+?

Turf & Ardor is a dating and meetup app. We strictly enforce an 18-and-over policy through DOB verification at signup. If you're under 18 and somehow got through, please don't use the app — and if you suspect someone else is underage, report it to safety@turfandardor.com.

Will my exact location be shared?

No. We use only approximate location (your city or general area) to suggest matches nearby. Other users never see your precise location. You control location sharing in your device settings — you can turn it off entirely if you prefer.

Stay safe out there.

Most people on Turf & Ardor are exactly who they say they are — fans looking to make plans for the tournament. But common-sense rules still apply.
